    We Just picked up a 98 GP todayfor my son who turns 16 later this month. It needs some work so I am coming here first to get help to bring it up to snuff.

    White with wite rims, cloth interior, 3800 v6, automatic

    We have an 01 cobra vert he has been driving but has been told once he turns 16 ins. will be to high for him to drive.

    been there done that. I've come that close to owning a few very cool fast cars, most recently an 01 vette but insurance just wants to bend you over for that.

    ^^thats why I have a GT and not a GTP, was like $70 extra a month. Im sure other things on my record came into play. (8 years ago)

    I was able to get insurance as low as 60 bucks a month on a 2002 GTP but then again i'm 43 with a squeaky clean driving record

    '97 is the best year insurance wise for a GTP, since it's considered an options package and not a trim level.
