I have a coolant smell coming from outside my car. I have had to refill my resevior twice now over the past couple of months. I am not sure where the leak is because there is no obvious leakage on the driveway. Any ideas of what it could be?

My response assuming you aren't overly familiar with motor terms: Take a look around. On the passenger side end of the motor there are a couple things that like to commonly leak. If you see any wetness on the motor, snap a picture and post it up and we can talk/walk you through what needs to happen.

My response assuming you know your way around the motor and terms: Check the water pump and right above that is the coolant elbow that commonly leaks as well. Check under the throttle body. Any obvious wet spots?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I noticed a very light wet spot after driving my car one day and I knew it wasn't the a/c. It was passenger side toward the front. I have already checked the the resevior and hoses and there are no obvious leaks. The engine doesn't look gunky or wet. I think my car is dying on me. Another thing I think may be wrong besides the leak is the alternator. If your alternator is going bad it will drain your battery correct? I know there is a test you can do at home to determine battery or alternator, but I can't remember what it is??? I think is was disconnect one of the cables?
