Been creeping on here for abit now, read the important posts and have already learned alot. I have a regal GS not a Grandprix but a brother none the less. Previous rides have been 1986 Fiero w NA 3.8, sunfire GT, and other econo boxs, and one fine S-15.
All in all just wanted to say hello and that this forum is extremely helpful

Yup love the 3800s, love the torque, one in the fiero had a tragic ending though, otherwise. I wouldn't want ne others haha, now a quick question what are early signs of a failing fuel pump?

Yes I love the 3800's, entire reason I bought my buick, I just love the torque, the 3.8 in the fiero didn't quite hold up to its name, but everything bursts into flames at somepoint or another haha, now time for a question, what are early signs of a dieing fuel pump

I always hear it prime, had one and only one hard start, on our first cold morning, started then stalled, under 1/8th tank, only other thing its done is it will bog the odd morning, once the day it didn't wanna start and once this morning also around 1/4 tank left or less, it bogged and wouldn't build rpms under wot, after work it ran fine and did no such thing, jw about this, also both times this happened it was cold and wet

hmm i take it its not throwing any codes?

just dont let it get down to 1/8 of a tank, our fuel pumps dont like that anyway, and see if the problem persists

No cel, filled it up and still did it this morning once or twice, possible ambient temp problem, It seems to only do it in the mornings, when its cooler, sounds stupid but hmmm, thanks for your responses!

welcome to GPF. get a bottle of seafoam and pour half of it in your tank, your injectors might need a cleaning. that or you may have water in the lines/tank, letting your tank get that low during the cold months tends to cause that.

    97 GT - slow, rusty
93 CTD - more slow, less rust

Ya the first time it ever happened, I filled up and added water remover, I know all about the condensation when the tanks empty and its cold, does that sound like the culprit, after work today no bogg just lots of power but this morning it bogged under wot, once but not after the next time, sea foam shall be done ...next week ... Lol thanks
