My wife actually knew about this page and just told me since I was trying to figure out why this little plastic piece under the super charger is spewing out water and she told me to come on here and see if anyone could tell me.

That plastic piece is a coolant elbow ...Like 5 dollar part and hour or hour and a half worth of work to replace it .. Not too bad of a job I did mine so anybody can probly do it lol..

Really? It sure made everything go haywire once it got hot.
So I wasn't sure if the SC would have to come off to get down to it. Does it thread in? It looks like it goes into the bottom side of the tensioner pully. What all did you have to remove to get to it and change it?

take off alternator and tensioner.. Don't have to take off supercharger.. Just go type in how to change coolant elbow in the search link and there's alot more detail instructions on how to do it.. It's been 2 yrs since replaced mine so don't really remember in detail how it's done. Not too hard at all though I remember..

oh and no it jus kinda pops in there lil tricky but not too bad .. Just make sure you clean out the old elbow real good as it will probly break off in there..

I appreciate the info on how to fix this thing too. That damn plastic piece looked like it was going to be major work getting it in and out, you guys saved me a lot of cussin.

Well I got it off and once I found all the bolts it made more sense but getting them back in is kind of a pain in the ass. Gave up for tonight cuz I ran out of light and the wife was holding the flashlight. She wasn't holding it very well and instead of getting mad and running the chance of not getting any for a while I figure finishing in daylight will work out better.

I had a slight problem with them wanting to leak, I bought another set and they fit better, added some rtv just to be safe

So I changed the water elbows a couple days after ya'll told me what it was. It wasn't bad but I have to say that is at the very least a design flaw and at best just bad design. I guess tho things like that have to be endured when dealing with these newer engines. I am quite impressed with the performance of these cars.
I also ended up changing the plugs and plugwires too. Went with NGK's and then used Jacobs 8mm wire and boots to make my own wires. It seems to have a bit more oooomph but I seriously have to ask. What the hell is up with the spark plug boots? How ridiculously hard does it have to be to pull of a plug boot? I ended up undoing the dogbones and using a ratchet strap to tilt the engine forward about 2inches. This gave me enough to work them off so I could change them. Is this normal for these cars? Is everything on them going to be this much of a pain in the ass to work on?

Normal for people to strap the engine forward to get to a lot of things in the rear. Especially rear plugs.

meh, i always do hand tight and an 1/8 turn
