Ahh, another fine example of the "selective" moderating on this site. Rather than practising what he preaches he joins in and offers no real advise.

Who in their right mind lifts a car? Trucks yes, cars no. Follow that rule and nobody will laugh at you. I saw a lifted Caddy on some huge chrome rims at Walmart and I laughed my ass off. A Grand Prix would be even worse.

I'll tell him besides the fact that it looks stupid that the 20s will eventually tear up his tranny and the lift doesn't help at all either. So it's bad for the car in two different ways.

Something to understand, this is a forum, everyone is going to throw their two cents in on something like this. Not everyone plays nice.

thats good knowledge for him to have..ppl can throw your two cents in but atleast at the same time give him reasons for making a poor choice. exactly, this is a forum, a place to learn on your respected platform and to share in the enthusiasm for these cars.

True, but up until American Soldier stepped in, EVERONE was being mean

1 or 2 people hating is fine, we have some stubborn apples that don't sugar-coat anything, but when everyone is hating on you we all get a bad rep. We need to be able to say "don't do it" without hating, there's ways to say it nicely, because it most likely will tear up the suspension and drivetrain

Well as my first time in the forum this isnt so bad. However I have learned from reference and research and after seeing 24's on a malibu, the short ones , I found a person that can do it for about 350$. you do need a kit but its a strut lift the cups are further apart lifting the car. may not can put 24's but certainly 22's. and after I find a good engine swap and the suspension and driveshaft is comfy and nice and not be gay im going for it. So I guess the next post would be.... engine swapping. anybody got any ideas? I want to go bigger! I know it isnt a monster truck but **** it is my car I kinda like the feel of it , but interior swap will be take care of the rest. so thanks for the positive responses. the bad ones were funny lmao idc im just a pontiac.

you could look into swaping the 5.3 engine out of a newer GP

You do know that these cars are FWD right? There are no driveshafts.

And since you have a 93 I don't think that there is much in the way of engine swaps. Depends on what motor you have. If it's a 3.8 just drop in a newer L67/32. If you have the 3.4 you could drop in a 3.5 just to make it easier. Or just pick a different car.

Either way this is still stupid.

You need to hang a pair of fake balls under the rear bumper to go with those wheels and add dual fart cans, that alone will add 40-80 whp easy!

Honestly you guys, I've seen a lot of this kinda **** going down lately. I'm gonna agree with soldier here, let him do what he wants to his car, may not be our cup of tea, but who cares, it's not personally affecting anyone on the entire forum is it?

It's a forum where people either ask for help or opinions. They will get both kinds of answers if they like it or not.
