having problems in with my 2000 gt. the issue is that the motor will have a slight miss for a second and then the tach quits working and the track off light comes on. if you turn the key off and restart the car then it all works again. It is happening more often now . Got no clue were to begin?

Sounds like a short. Have you changed anything electronic lately? Do you have an aftermarket stereo, remote start, headlights?

Sounds like a CPS sensor fail.....If you're tach stops working it is because it has lost its signal. And for whatever reason the CPS sensor doesnt trip the SES dummy light, but if you plug in a scanner it should still show you the code. At least thats what mine did when it went out.

03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.
