    Thanks for the welcome. =D

I'm driving a 96 SE coupe with the 3.1L. It was running great with a slight knock that it had when i bought it but never got any worse (and i wasn't very nice to it. lol). i picked it up for $400 b/c the previous owner had a bad breakup and keyed the crap out of it. but before they sold it they had professional work done and all it needs is a paint job that i never got around to.

the only issues i had with were a leak that i couldn't find that kept my floorboards constantly damp (i think i found the fix on this forum) and it would give me some troubles starting... whenever i turned it off it would take a few tries to get 'er started(and i had to get the connector going into the ignitions switch just right. i brought it to a shop and the couldn't get it started at all and told me i needed a new ICM for starters before they could figure out the rest of its' issues(then left me with a dead battery). i asked for a jump when i came to pick up the car and they were incredibly surprised when i was able to start it and drive home! lol.

anyways, i replaced the ICM and it fixed it for a bit, then the problem came back and got worse. it eventually started dying on me while i was driving and i'd have to quickly put it in Neutral, re-position the connector and try to start it. =(

also, one of the wires going to the connector has a dead short and gets really hot (started melting of insulation)... I'm wondering if the 'leak' problem caused damage behind the dash. it looked like alot of trouble to dig under the dash so i said screw it and decided to deal with it later.

I'm sorry to be so long-winded. and i appreciate your taking the time to read it. lol. also, if i posted this in the wrong place, feel free to move it.

Thanks again guys, You're amazing! =D
