I live in the Houston-Galveston area and my wifes car is a 2000 grand prix. It was purchased in 2003 with 38k miles and it has 140k miles now. During our ownership it has never been to a shop for repairs, mainly because of forums such as this. Valuable info from everyones experience. I hope I can contribute as well as receive your help. I also have a 95 z28 and enjoy hot rods in general.
