Brake pedal goes to the floor and no leaks. I'm attempting to replace the master cylinder. After removing the assembly I've run into a problem and need help.
The master cylinder is attached to the ABS modulator with (2) torx bolts. No way to get a socket on the torx bolts because they are covered by the plastic casing on the ABS modulator. I removed the bottom cover of the ABS modulator revealing 3 large gears against 3 shaft gears. All gears are under tension load so I decided not to remove the gears but cannot see a way to remove the cover that is blocking access to the Torx bolts holding the master cylinder to the ABS module. Can this job be done in my garage without the use of a scanner? This is my daughters car and not driveable so I'm in a pickle. This is the first time in 5 years of owning this car with over 200,000 miles that I've been stumped. Please help

I am having the same problem and cannot detach them. Did you ever solve this problem?
