I think everyone goes to dealership or ZZP. I don't think it's that much though. Stuff like that is usually only a couple bucks. The dealer might not have it because they don't sell parts for the superchargers, just the entire assembly. That means you can't buy things like the coupler from the dealership and you have to buy the entire supercharger!

There are parts dealers for the eaton supercharger though, such as ZZP, w body store, and other places on the internet.

I'm just gonna do a quick search for the plug on here to see if there is a GM part#.

I went and picked up some replacement coolant elbows today because I'm anticipating breaking the stocks ones when I put in the rockers. Not a bad deal at less than $4 for both at O'Reily's (sp?)

I'm going to take a stab at getting the oil fill plug to the supercharger off this weekend, along with finishing up wrapping the headers, wish me luck!

Okay, I got the oil fill plug out without much of a fuss, the old oil smelt like it had vinegar in it. Refilled and used the old plug since I did compromise it any, took the car for a drive and everything seems to be order!

If you can't tell, I'm dreading doing more header wrap. I made the mistake of washing my clothes that I wrapped with last time with other clothes, so I was still itching this weekend when I put on a clean shirt! I'll try to finish the wrapping throughout the week.

Well I believe that I've put this project off long enough. Here are the finished headers. I'm no pro at this by any means as you can tell.

lookin good. FYI, I think you just got spammed by this guy.

Also, I will be moving to Kentucky this Winter, but I really won't get to live there, I'll only be there about three weeks or so before I'm gone.

Why are you even moving then if you're just going to turn around and leave us?!
It's a good place to be, quiet, peacful, cost of living is about as low as you can get, but on the flip side the jobs don't pay as much as a similar job would in another state.

I'm unsure if I will even put the headers on until 2011. It's going to take a while to do and my wife hates it when I spend hours working on a car.

Which one do you think will take longer, the headers, or the rockers??

Do them both at the same time...and when the valve covers are off...put teh headers on....then after they are bolted up...put on the rockers and put everything back together. Kill 2 birds with one stone...by yourself? Shouldn't take more than a day LOL

Well, it took a couple of days and some help, but I got the headers on. I need to take it to an exhaust shop to seal up the leak where it bolts to the resonator. I'm also going to have them put the band clamp on the rear crossover section as well, it's a b!tch to get to and header wrap doesn't help out with making it any easier. I also can't drive it until I get some dexron 6 put in it. I lost a lot of fluid with the car being jacked up so high when the transmission dip stick was pulled. I've got a check engine light on right now, hopefully it's only the rear o2 causing the code.

definately that one, probably nothing else. scan it to make sure. when you get a tune, the code will be disabled.

I had a misfire code on cylinder 1 and a code for the rear o2 (no surprise there). So I checked plug #1 and it spilt in half when I pulled the boot off. No wonder the idle was hunting around, eh? I cracked #2 as well, but I seen the cracks and replaced that plug, I didn't catch this one as it didn't have cracks, it just split in half right where the porcelin met the hex head.

The car runs fine now. I gave it few squirts on the way home now that I knew everything was okay with iit. It doesn't pull as hard on the bottom end anymore, it just feels like the same amount of thrust all the way the redline. I was kinda expecting more from it than what the butt dyno told me. I guess the power gains aren't as great on a newer GP since it has a better flowing exhaust than the previous generation... When it starts warming back up I'll put the rockers on and see how it feels then.
