    Hello to everyone,
First of all I would like to say that I joined this forum because I have three pontiacs here at the house, 1998 Grand Prix GT, 2000 Grand Prix SE, and a 2002 Boniville. Anyway I just picked up the 98 and the lady said it was running fine and she stopped at a light and it started to knock and then just shut off. She was unable to restart it. The reason I got it was because I have the 2000 SE that was wrecked by my stepson do to very bad road conditions after a snow storm.(to heavy of damage to fix) They are both the 3.8L. If I have to I would like to put the 2000 motor in the 98 GT. I'm pretty sure this is interchangable since I have two similar motors? If anyone has any ideas what may be wrong with the GT and I can get away without swapping motors could you let me know?
    Any info. would be great.
    Thank You
