Lol why whats so bad about the 97's? This one attracted me because the engine only has 25k on it and it has some basic mods. The only problem is that the drivers side rear quarter panel is banged up but it can be fixed for a fair price. I bought this car for 1100 which is a steal considering the condition of the the car mechanically. The body of the car has 120xxx miles on it but it is in beautiful condition besides the damage on the drivers side.

I don't know much but I'm awake and your awake so why you wait for someone who knows more, from what I understand their transmissions are weaker and break more often haha thats all I got.

Its a GTP, so the transmission shouldn't be much different. The 97 GT's and SE's came with the old tranny.

sounds like you got a pretty good deal on it. 97's had some weird little quirks about them, making some parts not compatible with older years. mainly only a headache when something goes wrong or you look at performance upgrades. it'll be great for a DD. probably a stupid question, but whoever swapped the motor did put a supercharged one back in right? lol. sorry about having to sell the drums but i'm sure you'll enjoy the car just as much. welcome to the forums

Thanks lol! And yea he kept the original supercharger from the 1st engine. It has a smaller pulley on it and running 12psi of boost but i'm not sure what size pulley it is i guess i could go out and measure it but im too lazy rright now haha.

oh... probably a good thing you mentioned that. you're gonna want to know the size of it. if he just put a smaller pulley on the supercharger with nothing else, you might be knocking. is there anything else done to the motor, mainly headers or a downpipe?

you still might wanna see if somebody has a scanner around you just for safety measures. a lot of times guys will get a set of headers or a powerlog and downpipe with a setup like that. the most restrictive part of the exhaust with these cars is the front manifold and downpipe. the tune and other exhaust mods that you have are definitely helping though
