All I know is that it's a 3.8L V6.

Welcome. My guess is that you have an L26 3.8L. A top swap would really make a difference in performance as long as you have proper supporting mods. a Gen v top end with the lower compression would really produce. T stat, headers, CAI and that should work for a 3.8 pulley.
