My 98 GTP seems to have something wrong. I bought it "dead" last fall and installed a new long block and s/c nose. New sensors, etc. It generally runs "ok". The fuel pump resistor went out a couple of months back. I did the by-pass and it ran - fuel consumption went up so I put on a used resistor. (Since I've had it - ) When I jump on the throttle I never get past about 1/2 boost on the gauge. The past couple of weeks I've experienced a hard start condition...it doesn't seem to kick the pump on right away. I put the pressure gauge on - low pressure. I did the bypass, it seemed to help build the right pressure. With car parked and reving engine the computer is killing the rpm's at 4k.
    Any suggestions?

I've seen a couple of suggestions for lower cost pumps in the posts. Can anyone confirm the housing/etc is the same for the L36 and L67? I have a 99 GT with a bad sending unit...thought about buying new unit for the 98 and swaping out the old housing in the 99.
    Thank you!

There are no engine codes. The fuel filter is 2k old.

If the boost gauge is only reading half when you hammer it chances are that your boost bypass sensor is unhooked, pop your hood and look for a sensor that is unhooked on the front part of the supercharger and throttle body, and you can pick up an after market fuel pump for 180 bucks that is better than the stock one. And the reason its only reving to 4k is because of the factory park/neutral rev limiter, My aftermarket DHP PCM also has this on it.
