    Hello everyone.

I just bought at 2000 Grand Prix GT with 219K on it. I've had the car since 3/20/10.

Since the second day I have owned this car it has been randomly shutting off while i'm driving down the road. When the car shuts off "sometimes" the TRAC OFF light comes on and the RPM drops to 0 and the car will stall out, sometimes it will start right back up and other times it will remain off for 30min-1hr. But not all the time does the TRAC OFF and the RPM's do this. I have taken it into the shop and the have replaced the KEY PASS moduel which worked for a day and then the car shut back off. I had it towed back to the dealership and they said it was a loose crank sensor. I got the car back and its still doing it.

I purchased a new ECM and tomorrow I am going to take it to the dealer to flash into the car becasue I dont know what else to do about this?

From what I have read most people state that it is the Crank Sensor that needs to be replaced? I dont know?

Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated!

    Thanks.
    Jake
