Well add me to the recently banned list. Maybe it was this last comment in regards to Dave being banned:

"Mike, I apologize, I used to think you were simply a overzealous, money-grubbing, control freak - but I was wrong and will willingly admit that I was wrong.

    You're just a dick."
I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am...

First off I take issue with the title of this thread. It's bull****. ZZP had nothing to do with Dave's banning and I've never discredited Dave or his company. To use my companies name in the title is a low blow. Furthermore, I have spent a lot of money with Dave and to have him turn around and rip on my company is a show of character I didn't expect.

Next, is the banning itself and Dave's admission of what he was doing:
"Yep I sent out a lot of PMs to members to tell them about this site. As I mentioned above I was asked to join this site, my wife signed me up and I thought this would be a breathe of fresh air for me and others as I am tired of having to watch what I say to people on the open forums in fear of advertising. I cant just join in over there and say... Hey I sell those too or I make that for less and have it in stock when someone is in need of something. Instead I had to do what I could behind the seens and keep my mouth shut."

This is in clear violation to the forum policies and it shows intent to engage in unfair business practices. Of course Dave can offer a part cheaper than a sponsoring vendor! He doesn't have the overhead. Part of that overhead that makes a part cost more is advertising on the clubGP site. Expanding on that, if Mike didn't charge for advertising, who would pay to keep clubGP up? It's all a circle of a neccessary evil. For Dave to circumvent it and try and sell parts in a market by piggybacking on other people's advertising dollars is not right.

Finally, I'm disappointed that I defended Dave on ClubGP only to come over here and read a thread title discrediting my company.

I changed the title of the post to a more appropriate post. With all thats going on there is alittle tension.

I would not want my company name posted that way.

Zooomer I am just going to make this clear up front, the title of this thread has NOTHING to do with you or your company period. I never have nor will point fingers at your or ZZP for my being banned. I planned to get banned or just quit using the other forum. I know you dont like your business name in this thread but everyone on every other forum call it *******, take a look around if you dont believe me as I can tell you at least 10 other forums that this is how it is referred. When THIS forum was started it was mentioned NOT to use the actualy name of the club as it would get hits on searches, dig back when it started and you will find the thread. Im not on here to compete with anyone, never have nor will I and that was never my intentions. Yes you have bought things from me in the past as I have bought tons of things from you and sent lots of customers your way over the past 5 years or so and again this has nothing to do with that. If your pissed at me for the name of this thread fine, thats not why I did it and nobody is accusing you of anything that happened. I broke club rules and got banned plain and simple. As for the piggybacking that is crap. When people repeatedly ask me pricing for parts or transmissions or whatever I have to keep my mouth shut over there so I dont get kicked out. My life doesnt revolve around the club nor does my business and any work that I get from it. This site was developed for for small guys like Fransworth, Reptile and myself to voice opinions and products on a smaller scale without the big forum BS and pricing.

I agree. I completely disagree with that policy. If someone is making some parts or selling them, who cares. Maybe it was part of the agreement with the advertising mouse over "thingy" where he can't have people give out free ads. Dunno. If so, that was a bad agreement he signed.

Im sure if my PMs ever come out of the woodwork that this is almost to the word what they said,
That tells me then that the person who reported you did it for fun so you can get banned and feel responsible for doing something in the world.
But as you stated, guess it doesn't matter.
Also, the "if they were sick of the BS going on around the club " comment inin the PM explains to me why he just performed a ban instead of giving a warning.

Your intentions may have been good but I don't agree with your approach here. Guess its all in hindsight and it overall doesn't matter.

Ask Scotty! If you want to build your own transmission I will sell you parts and tell you to the T how to build it, Im not out to tell everyone to come to me to make money, that is not my choice to make all I can do is offer my knowledge and lend a helping hand.
Agreed. As I mentioned, I noticed you and other guys like timber (no, I'm not him) that focused only on helping folks.

Again, I'm just curious on to what happened. This "no advertising company/service" rule may be cause of agreements he signed but I believe he had this rule even before he had the mouse over ads. Personally, I feel anyone should post anything like that. Guess it worked out for the best. I just hope the jerk-offs don't start migrating over too.

Admin/Mods: As soon as you start seeing the "blame bush, black people, liberal" threads, it will probably start turning into clubgp ala George Orwell's Animal Farm.

EDIT: I don't think it was cool you "planned to get banned." Just bow out gracefully. Dispite frusrtrations, no need to use them like that. My 0.02.

Maybe you misunderstood what I meant by that...... I was asked to come over to this forum when it first started to be helpful and everyone was asked to spread the word. I spread the word knowing any leak of it would likely get me banned so I expected it sooner or later. I have plenty of other reasons as to why I have spent less time on the club, but this new forum and the people joining up were reason alone. This is NOT a vendor war, has nothing to do with ANY VENDOR. As repeatedly mentioned everywhere on this forum its all about helping people out or asking for help yourself and all getting along, not being affraid to say this or that in fear of threads getting deleted or worrying about saying the wrong things. Chris started a great thread about the intentions in the Lounge section.

What I think is being overlooked is something also very simple. Anybody ever stop to think of how Mike got his place started? I'm willing to bet it was on other forums promoting his little part of the WWW. Sure he gives his sponsor free reign of mud slinging that takes place. Zoomer comes over and plays like he's a victim, when he built his company on the backlash of Intense, and I think we can all attest to witnessing him taking a crack at Wbodystore.

You need to step back and look at the big picture...and I remember when Jason came up with the adjusting knobs for the Koni kits years ago...then ZZP started selling them. Dave can sell things cheaper because he doesn't have the overhead, and didn't spend an assload of money on high end equipment.

I just want to be in my end of the GP world to offer my services....and offer them at a good deal for the guy that can't afford a $500 ported blower. Do I plan on keeping my overhead low? You're damn right I do. I'll buy my equipment at Harbor Freight if it means someone can get one of my ported cases for $150.

Bottom line, I think it's rediculous that people live in fear. It's nice having friends, and they can keep all the kiddies that sling racial slurs and jump their cars on their side of the fence.

A lot has already been said on this topic. I am just sorry it happened to ya. Sorry Zoom is pissed and I am not sorry Mike is getting "kicked" like a little female dog over on the National Boards. He brought this onto himself. First it was with Farns, and now Dave? Its bullchips anyway you slice it.

You (Mike on ClubGP) give Farns supposidly several warnings before banning him, but yet he turns around and bans Tranny after one incident? The rules and laws dont even fit the punishment. That whole site over there is frakkeded up now. I use to love going to the National Board. Of late I have only been going over there to see what's for sale lol

But like everyeone else. I am glad we have you here Dave.

Also Lee there is another thread still going on the national board about the banning. I had my say on it too

Well I am of the opinion, as I stated somewhere else today if not here, that I would like to have some vendors here, but not at the expense of the community and its members. Any vendor that comes here, I think, should be willing to accept some competition even if it means from what I call Garage Vendors.

That said, I also think that anyone offering a service or product that is not offered by the vendors should have free reign to do so without fear of being banned. This is our vision behind the Shade Tree Vendor section, get in there and use it. Within reason, I'll let the community sort out who offers the better service or product with the better customer support and so on. If someone comes up with a service or product that isnt offered by a national vendor Im not going to shove them out just because the national vendor didnt come up with it first but now wants to capitalize on it.

To me that is how you spur on innovation and ideas. How many of the vendors are reselling items like transmission parts, or electrical parts, brake parts compared to how many parts they have come up with on their own?

In the end though, to be honest I think this place, as long as the community and its members are taken care of, treated with respect and given just a little room to operate, can keep this site going with donations and such.

My personal vision for the place was to see member donations and at some point advertising fees supporting this site and any extra that didnt go towards keeping the site running would go towards events and such like BGPM. Take the extra money and have get togethers and stuff like that, put on events. Mind you that definitely takes the involvement of the community and its people to pull off and organize, but I think we have the tallent and commitment already here.

Im not here for the money, this site doesnt exist for the money. I am here, Chance is here, Chris is here and this site is here to support the community, to spur on enthusiasm and involvement and commitment and, as I have said before, to make this such an enjoyable and happening place that people go out and look to buy Grand Prix's, Rega's, Monte Carlos, etc. because they cannot stand NOT being a part of what is happening here.

Its funny how the other forum performs business.

Just read it and they are all proud that someone is spamming about Mike N then putting the tinyurl link in the post to get more members. I guess they didnt get the memo or they are on their own powertrip. Ohh well. I like this place better.
