I am a new member to the site although I have visited many times in the past to find repair help. My latest and so far unresolved failure is fault code P0446; the Evap Canister Vent Valve inop or clogged. My car is a 2000 Grand Prix SE with the 3800 and I really do love it. This is the only time I have had a problem with it other than routine or periodic maintenance. My question about the failure at this point is the location of the Vent Valve. Some sources say left wheel well, some say above the gas tank. I have seen a picture of the valve and there is one at the back side center of the engine bay that looks like it could be the part, except it appears to be a component having to with exhaust. Does anyone here know the correct location? It's very cold outside and I am not real motivated to explore, I'd rather know where I need to start before I begin.
