The remotes are fine, When I try to remote start it, I here the car click but no start. horn trips and the lights comes on. but still with no start. .The remote start feature is on in the DIC settings. both fobs works fine for lock trunk and all other accept the Remote start any ideas guys.

maybe you let it sit and used the remote start twice in succesion but didn't drive the car. usually when u start it up twice and don't go anywhere it stops remote starting until u actually get in the car and turn the key to start it then it can be used again. but im pretty sure thats not the problem. just gotta give the most obvious answer.

Probably a malfunction or issue with the anti-theft device. Good luck unless you are under warranty. Welcome to Genital Motors if you haven't already been welcomed! LOL! I love getting into a Cobalt with the KEY and it starts blowing the horn until you insert a properly programmed key.

The Range is really low. It only works about 5- 10 feet away max.

How much did that cost to have it fixed? If you had it fixed, did you do it or did GM do it?

Actually, one of my remotes will start the car remotely and the other remote sets off the alarm system when trying to remotely start it.

bringing back a bit of an old thread, I'm having the same issue on my 07 GP. Just started (or lack of starting,,,,) last friday. Remote has good range I can lock/unlock and start from about 100 yards away. Didn't work when I got off of work on friday, same symptoms. Horn sounds, hear a click, hear the fuel pump kick in but no start. check engine light came on at the same time, had the code checked - P0411 - Secondary Air Injection system fault.
Not sure if this would cause the issue with the remote start or not. I have not had a chance to start checking fuses/relays/ AIR system yet but plan on it this week.

    BTW,
Hello to all at GP forums! been a member here for a bit but never really had a reason to post. Great forums!!

if they have been dropped a lot you will have a problem too. take it apart and see if the 3 connectors are still sodered.

Your no remote start is directly related to your check engine light. my 06 GT did the same thing when the Check engine light came on for the boost bypass valve. replaced the part remote start works fine. It is a safety feature.

Well as long as you checked what the two guys said up there ^ Check the soldered connections in the fob, and make sure there are no codes

Has anyone found resolution to this? My 07 GXP started doing this today. No CEL. If I push and hold the remote start and lock button at the same time it will start. Doing it the proper way sets off the alarm.
