Hi, I am the owner of a 2002 GTP with 200,000 km's. I need some help with a problem with the auto on headlights, They flash randomly in the auto position and the only way to stop the flashind is to use the switch manually. Is there a fix for this?

Hey, welcome to the boards!!! This forum is a great place for information and getting to know your W-body.

It seems like you have a pretty specific question. My suggestion would be to use the "search" feature first. try a couple different keywords like "headlights flash with auto on" or "headlights flash in auto mode".

If you can't find any information, your best bet would be to start a new post over in the "General Tech Discussion" or the "Audio, security and visual electronics" sections.

Good luck and enjoy your stay!

I did not have time to find a fix for myself; My wife usually drives our GTP; just as she dropped the kids off on Monday morning, the entire dash along with the DRL and heat was completely off. She managed to get it to Hogan Chev Olds on Sheppard Ave; the tech took over 5 hours to diagnose and replace the ignition switch at cost of over $900.00. They were good enough to pick-up the cost of the rental we had to get so that she could go to work. I hope that the $900.00 I paid could help to find out it was the ignition switch could save someone else that cost.
