Another New guy - checking in - GXP 5.3

Hello Members- been paging through the forum for the first time. Seeing some interesting posts. (Prevous vette owner and glad to see a similar forum setup here.)
So this GXP 5.3 - anything I should know off the bat? Is this front wheel drive durable? Is the occasional front wheel burnout going to break something? How do you guys find it to drive in snow? Can the trans take the paddle shifting ok or is that tough on the trans also? Thanks for any feedback. Cheers.
