Hey everyone! So i just bought myself a black 1998 Grand Prix GT with some light blue and purple pin-striping along the doors. I was really hoping for a GTP but this one I found only has 28,000 miles on it so I couldn't pass it up. I guess it was owned by an old lady so the car is spotless inside and out. The only thing I don't like about it is it has two real little Pooh Bears on it, one on the hood and one on the trunk but hopefully I will get those taken off asap. I have no pictures because I have no camera but hopefully I will find a way to get some eventually. Anyway just wanted to say hi. I'm hoping to learn a lot about the car on here and hopefully have the money to do some changes to it soon.

Welcome! 1998 was a good year!
A carefully used hair dryer or heat gun should get the offending "womanage" off your car. 28,000 miles!!!! The engine is hardly broke in. If it would have been around here I would have bought it

Thanks! I like that, offending womanage haha. It's hard to tell whether the Poohs are stickers or if they were painted on. Would a blow dryer work either way and would I need to use anything else? Also would it take the pin-striping off because it's right near it? Thanks.

I'd be willing to bet they are decals. Getting someone to paint Pooh on a car and make it look decent would be $$$.
Use a hair dryer and a plastic scrapper to work it loose. I've used a credit card as a scrapper in the past. You want it hot but not too hot. If it gets too hot the adhesive begins to seperate and then there is more cleanup. This is also handy to remove dealer decals off the trunklid.

Thanks a lot. That worked well with the dealer decal but the Pooh is definitely paint. I've only had the car for four days and everytime I've been home its been pouring so I never really got to look at the car that closely. I realized though since I finally got to look at it that the pin-striping was done by a guy right down the road from me. I'm going to take it to him soon to see what he could do about it. Thanks for the help.
