My apologies, and it has been taken to PM. I was just defending myself on a remark in which he was way out of line making.

    Again, my apologies....

    Either way welcome aboard!
Thanks guys (except for one)!! The seats were done by a shop, the rest of the interior I did myself (door panels, trim, etc.). My engine isn't ready yet, but will be soon. I will get some pics up as soon as I finish it.

Thanks and I appoligize for the comment. Just gets hard to stay quiet when minutes after winning a trophy you have to hear how others think you shouldnt have won and that your car sucked. Since the last AF I have heard how my car "isnt a contender" " shouldnt have even been considered for a trophy" etc etc. Some people have no clue what a clean show car is all about. My opinion a 100% stock car should be considered if it is the cleanest best prepped car. What you dyno isnt part of the BOS judging. Not to mention its an opinionated judging, no scoring system. So I guess I am the bad guy because my car was picked. maybe its because I dont care about the trophy as much as some people do. If those people dont win it every time then they are angry and jealous. Someone has to win and someone has to lose, so what. Big deal. Car shows and car clubs are about gettin together and sharing a common passion about cars. I had nothing but compliments and congratualtions to everyone at the show, trophy winners and those who didnt get a trophy. I went out of my way to pay compliments to Robbie at the show. I am the first to share secrets on how I do things with my car and offer help. I'd like to see everyone be a contender.
Slinging mud and childish PMs just prove the childish mentality I refer to. I Mod my car for my enjoyment, not for the AF trophy.

Just remember, you made the first "childish" remark. I was simply responding. But thanks for hijacking my thread of which its purpose was for ME to introduce myself, not for you to question to what extent I have my car customized. Have a nice day.

Robbie, my remark was regarding crap that has been said since AF. If I am wrong then we need to have a chat and figure this out. Everyone likes to attach your name and Matt's with negative comments about myself and my car. I am just out of patience for the AF games man. You know I gave you high compliments on your car. As did my wife. If I am wrong and have been missinformed then I will be the first to appoligize. If what I have been told is true then yes we have a problem. I dont like to believe rumors and have been trying to ignore them for a while now.
Sorry to jack your thread. Shouldve been handled differently. PM me and we'll get to the bottom of this.

    First, welcome Robbie.

Second, the 3 of you, don't let yourselves get worked about about the Best-of-Show non-sense. Judging on opinions isn't a good way for the trophy to be decided. All of you guys are spending countless hours on your car which is just going to build up your emotions and if you don't get BOS, you're gonna be very upset. Trust me, I was there last year. 15-hours straight of polishing my paint, only to have then just touch the paint to check to see if the car was waxed. I was hyped up and I couldn't help but let that go to my head.

BOS should definitely be a points-based trophy, otherwise there's will always be arguing and hard-feelings because it is purely based on opinions.....and those are like butt-holes, everyone has one and everyone's stink.

Take it easy on each other guys and don't get too consumed that you start hurting friendships.

    Yeah Dave,
I think it appears some people have been fanning the flames. I think we have all resolved this and are cool about it. Looks to be one big missunderstanding between 3 very passionate car guys. All 3 of us have a ton of pride in what we with our cars and someone has been igniting fires that shouldnt have been lit.
Kinda sucks Robbie's intro thread has been destroyed.
