Greetings to all. I'm not new to cars, but I'm new to the idea of 'moddin FWD and FI vehicles. I was building cars back in the day of small-blocks, Holley carbs and Limited Slip 8.5 rears. Truth is, I'm really lost on the new stuff. It's been too long.............

and just what is a dig anyway? Is it what we used to call the 'hole'?

I'm really looking forward to learning from the members here. Please have patientce with me, I'll ask a lot of stupid questions.

I just got my hands on an 03 GTP with 68k miles. I'm not sure how much I want to 'play' with it as it's my daily driver and all I've got. Relaibility takes precedent over performance. For now.........

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yup, the deal is they were supposed to go to the '04 body style in '03 with the stronger 4th shaft and different valve body, but didn't get around to it so they slapped it to the L67 and threw it in the '03's

I see. Way cool. On the Summit site the 4t60e and the 4t65e take the same filter. I hope so. It would suck to have to walk to the parts store just to choke the guy behind the counter for giving me the wrong parts!!!

Thanks for the info. Guess I got a better deal than I thought!

So let me get this straight ( it's been a long night, I work mids., and could really use some coffee......):

The 4t65e in the '03 GTP is the HD version? GM 4T60-E transmission - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

All transmissions in the supercharged cars have the ''HD'' tansmission.

Thanks. That's comforting. Not that I plan on driving it hard enough to know the difference between HD and non-HD, but it's nice to know it's there.
