    Hello All!

I got my 2000 Grand Prix GT new in 2000, but was forced to hand it over to the wife 3 years ago when she needed a practical sedan to drive. It just rolled 100,000 miles and is in need of some work. I've been lurking here for a few weeks getting tons of info...thank you!! I am right now in the middle of replacing the water pump, thermostat (180degree sounds like the recommended) lower intake manifold gaskets, valve cover gaskets, coolant elbows. She had some leaks...coolant and oil. I'm hoping to get the engine running well, and then on to some body work. I've had this car for 9 years and its still fun to drive. Again, thank you all for the info posted here...without it, I would have been lost.

Thanks everyone! Hope to post some pic's of the job, soon. Getting my waterpump on Thursday. I reassembled the intake manifold with a new GM aluminum gasket and a new plenum gasket too. The intake manifold cleaned up good, and looks great. New coolant elbows on...too.
