...ok. my battery light started to flicker today. after turning off my amp to my sub and my a/c, thinking maybe i was drawing too much power, it still flickered. I noticed that it only happened when i let off the gas and my rpm's dropped. After getting to work i put a multimeter to the battery and it was reading 12 volts. I then turned the car on and my alternator was reading 14. Started driving home and halfway there it started again. After letting off the gas a few dozen times and p***ing off the guy behind me i noticed that the light came on when my rpm's dropped below 1500 roughly. Would this be a bad alternator or possibly something else?

Take it to Autozone and have it tested. It's free!

had it tested and it was fine. I wasn't satisfied so i decided to buy a volt guage and wire it to my alternator to see what was going on when the light came on. And as usual, i spent $16 on the guage and the light has yet to come back on. I'm thinking it might just be a short in the wiring to the light.
