Hi, Just would like a little opinion on something. I have a 2007 GP GT supercharged 3.8. The car has about 30,000 mi on it. I believe I have a 4T65E Transmission. Iam able to monitor the Transmission Temp through my DIC. My question is this, How much heat can this transmission withstand. I live in Southeast Louisiana and the outside temps are in the middle and upper 80's now and my DIC shows my Tranny near the 200 deg mark after about 20-30 min of city driving. Just seems like it gets hot quik. After about an hour of Interstate driving I've seen the Tranny get as hot as 220. Are these temps normal. If not what can I do to remedy this. I did have the pan drained and the Filter replaced around November when I first bought the car. I put a bottle of Lubeguard Red in it too.
