Hello I am a new member, live in NV

I am only 20 so I'm young and inexperienced, but you can be sure I will be asking a lot of questions on this forum haha. i already have a couple for you experts...

1st - I am looking 2 buy a new CD deck because I recently went on a road trip and my ipod fm transmitter was pretty crappy so I want 2 get a new CD deck w/ an AUX input, my only question is...I want my sterring wheel buttons to work so any1 have any information on that.

2nd - I'm looking to upgrade my car, maybe someone can help me out w/ a cheap turbo, exhaust, supercharger, etc. anything

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you guys.

Well to answer your first question there is an interface you can buy and I think it workd with all decks that will allow you to still use your steering controls. It is roughly 50-75 dollars. I wanted the same thing but I decided that the extra wasn't worth it so I bought a deck with a remote. As far as deck goes mine has a usb input ( i put 200+ songs on a thumb drive and use that) but it also has an ipod hookup. Got it for $200 its a Kenwood if that helps you at all.

for your second question a lot of people will tell you that you really can't build big power without big money. The good mods are all over pretty much $300. i am broke so I am going the slow route with cheapo parts. Intake, PCM, used parts from the for sale ads that kind of stuff. The best bang for your buck is probably the top end swap. If you want better brakes check the ads for the f-body brake upgrade they are a great price at just over $200. Happy modding!

a top swap is a kit you can assemble or buy all together to install a supercharger from a supercharged W-body on your car. I think they full kits run around $700 but don't quote me on that. From there you will be able to install smaller pulleys to increase boost. If you find a kit without a PCM you will need one of those as well and it will need to be custom tuned. I actually am in the process of assembling a top swap from ebay and junkyard parts. Thanks to these forums I'l have the full kit for about $300 dollars and there are posts that tell you everything you need. It's not a real hard job and if you love to wrench on your own car this is a very satisfying project!

Welcome. As someone stated there is an ipod adapter that can be used with your factory radio. As far as the turob or supercharger you can find more inf o in the top swap thread.
