Hey all,

My wife owned a 2000 GTP since 2003 until about 3 weeks ago when some guy in a PT Cruiser smacked her in a parking lot. The car was totaled and she can't think of any other car she wants to drive besides another GTP.

After some discussion, we decided to buy another GTP but one with lower miles then her 2000 which had 129k. We decided to get a newer 2004-2005 GTP, but wanted similar amenities. She had the Bose audio, auto-dim rearview, leather, heated seat, heads up display, Dual digital climate control etc. We didn't find all of these, but we tried to get as close as we could for the price we wanted.

I found one locally, but shakes on the freeway pretty nasty, worn tires (someone's been doing burnouts) and the engine bay was cleaned up after some nasty crap had been all over it. Loved the power, but looked like a nightmare for me as I never take a car to a mechanic but do all my own work.

We found what I believe to be a comp g that I have a deposit on, but I am unsure and the pictures are no longer on the internet (I forgot to save them before I he took them down since the car is now pending sale). It's a 2004 GTP "Limited Edition" according to some sticker badge (not the rear trunklid chrome badge as that was not pictured).

Here are the features:
Chrome 17" 5 twisted spoke wheels
Tapshift
Heads up display
leather
heats seats (this time with an S at the end of seat!!! wooo plural!!)
Premiem Audio Monsoon w/ XM

Not sure on anything else from the vehicle sale description, but this car does have the features listed above which is the important ones to us - Although I doubt TAPShift is something we need, HUD is my wishlist and I love the old cars HUD. Leather and heated seats were on her wishlist. XM is a plus. We can live without the Dual climate control as my wife ends up bypassing it anyway to control the fan.

I have a couple of questions:

First, does this sound like it HAS to be a compg? If not, whats a "Limited Edition"? It has the HUD, TAPShift, and Chrome wheels which on my searches looks like it must be a compg?

Second, The monsoon audio. Does this one hold a candle to the Bose from the previous body style? We heard the monsoon in the craptastic GTP we found with problems and it didn't sound as good but that could be because the PO treated the car and stereo poorly.

Thanks!!

Joel

P.S. Great site here. The search works, wish I found this one before when fixing/working on the old car.
