Hello to all.
Just made the last payment on my 2000 GP GT & now that I don't have a monthly payment, I want to start fixing some of the things wrong with it.
I just ordered the passenger side front & rear power window regulators yesterday.
The rear is temp fixed with clamps to keep it up until I get parts. The front has only worked a couple times in the last 5 years, usually after a good slamming of the front door. Had to have the front driver side replaced when it got stuck down the day before a round of storms coming in....couldn't afford the $300 per window to fix the other 2.
I've also got the leak problem that I'm gonna start reading about. My leak is in the passenger back floorboard & I've given up on vacuuming it out, so I'll probably be replacing the carpet now too. I just read about the "permanent fix" & hoping this is what will fix mine too, but if anyone thinks it's something else, please let me know. That started the 1st week I had the used car...dealership took it thru the car wash 3 times & it didn't leak, but if I used the windshield wiper fluid, you could smell it inside the car 5 minutes later.
I'm also looking for a replacement for the spare tire cover. GM dealership put an old battery in my trunk when I asked to keep the battery, since I didn't think that's what was wrong with it. I forgot about it being in there & it fell over & spilled battery acid in the trunk. The carpet is fine, but the backing was eaten away. Replacing the spare tire cover will fix most of it...I don't put groceries in the trunk anymore for fear of it falling thru!
Well, guess that's about it. Off to do some more reading.
