Hello everyone . I have a 05 gp gt and a wrecked Buick lacrosse same years was wondering what would be the best option for swapping the subframes motor and trans to go in to gp . Buick only has 60 k so was really looking for a way to make it work. Any advice would be grateful thanks all

Hello & welcome! I don't know all the ins and outs, but I think as long as the Lacrosse has the 3800 motor it should more or less be a direct swap over. I personally wouldn't bother swapping powertrains just because one is lower miles unless there is something wrong with the Grand Prix's engine or your doing a lot of modifications to the one from the Buick before swapping in. These 3800's with proper care are known to rack on the miles

Good afternoon and Happy 4th! Totally agree. A well maintained 3.8 seems to last forever. My daily, 04 Regal is pushing 300,000 miles and my GTP closing in on 200,000.
