i have searched and read the threads that other members have posted about their P0650 codes but none have had the issue that I have been having

I just recently purchased a 2001 Grand Prix that is suppose to have the 3.1 engine but the intake manifold says 3400. So I assume somewhere along the way a 3.4 was installed.

So my problem is that when turning the key on with engine off the Service Engine Soon light doesn't come one. But when turning ignition off the light will quickly come on and go off.

I have replaced the Electrical part of the ignition switch and also have replace the cluster with one from a junkyard car. The light is good in both clusters (I have swapped them with known working ones) but still have the problem. Has anyone experienced this? I will take a video of it and post to youtube and provide the link.

    Thank you

I know right. I am considering getting a new ECM for the car but idk if it will play well with the 3.4

So I have fixed the Service Engine light but the car has a P0302 Cylinder 2 misfire code and i have replaced:

    all fuel injectors
    sparkplugs and wires
    coils
    Lower Intake Manifold Gasket
    Upper Intake Manifold Gasket

I have also compression tested the engine and had between 170-180 PSI in all cylinders

Any Ideas what could be wrong?

I have also moved the coil and spark plug/wire to a different cylinder and still same result. Could this be caused by a stuck lifter not opening the intake valve?
