Can you use a 2001-2003 keyless entry remote on a 1997-2000 they are a little bit different in look and specify year models when ordering but this is the only thing i can think of on the car that switches in 2000-2001 I know 1997s have a few small differences. Also if it will not work can you make it work and how

you can get two brand new fobs for your car for about 25 bucks or at least one for 25 or less off ebay. search your year, buy what comes up.

the factory fobs have a part# on the back. the year matters. dont think you using the new one in the older car or vice versa.

in your owners manual, theres directions to program new fobs. or search on google. you need to press this that and the other thing to get into programming mode.
