Howdy y'all. If you're wondering what my name means, I have no idea! It's what my friend calls my car (amongst other cheery nicknames) and it's all I could come up with on the spot. Enough about me. Story time!
My Prix was born in May 2003 and apparently last saw a dealership in September of 2003. According to various records I've found, she was apparently kept in a garage and only kept a few thousand miles on until 2010 when she all of a sudden became a cross country Uber and attained 80k in a little over a year lol. I got her at an auction for an excellent price and all things considered felt like a brand new car inside and out. A week later I was t-boned on the driver side by a Hummer and only by the grace of the car gods the chassis and engine bay stayed intact. Insurance wanted to total it and give me a poor payout. I told them to shove it and a week later I somehow got the money without a salvage title so HAH! But other than an ongoing intermittent issue I just posted about, she's never had any catastrophic problems apart from playing sick pranks on me like blowing the upper radiator hose and ripping the supercharger belt off.
If anything this car and the 3800 community as a whole has taught me: if you just put in a bit of effort to take care of your car, then the car will pay you back by proving its reputation for being bulletproof and a whole hell of a lot of fun!
Not to mention also providing entertainment by scaring jaywalkers with your supercharger whine
