99 gp 3800 dead short

kills new battery in hrs. puts out over 12volts for a short time then slowlydrops to below 9.wont run above fast idle no service light it barely runs fast enough to get out of park

does it drop parked?

or driving it drops then the car cant run due to low volts? my bad alt did the same thing. car just ran off the battery and it dont last long.

you need to test volts at the battery car running. if its under 13 you need a new alt.

battery tested good alt tested good at autozone any more help please

So the alternator tested good but can't even charge your battery at 14 volts?

How does that make it good?
