Thread: 3.8 gtp grand prix

ive finally got the car running, but now i have another with the gas gauge, when i unplugged my harness from the other car, i plugged it back into mine and the gauge junped to full and wont move, needle isnt bad its a new pump

What year is your car? And what year was the car the pump came out of?

i have 2 97 grand prixs, both gtp's , one black one purple, the black one is my daily and read the gas fine, buti unplugged the wiring harness and plugged it into the purple car, and the purple car still read empty, so i threw it back into my black one... and my black gp reads full.. on my purple gp, i put my old harness back in c( not from the black gp) and still reads empty with a different wire, idk if there is a way to reset the gauge or not, but when i put my key in both cars, the gauge will flick up and then back down , then goes to full( black gp) and empty ( purple gp)
