    Hello all,
I am proud to say that I picked up a little piece of heaven last nite. Bought my first pontiac. I picked up a 2006 pontiac grand prix gxp with 159k miles. I know that mileage is a little high but I love the car. Transmission seemed to shift great, Interior needs a little tlc, front passenger side wheel clicking a little when I back up and turned hard in the driveway last nite (cv joint maybe??), and the HUD is not working. I can hear the motor run when I hit the adjustment arrow but I do not get anything on the windshield so I'll be digging into that. Apparently someone already dug into it hard and destroyed the bezel and tried to glue it back together so my work may be cut out for me on that repair although it's not very pressing.
I really LOVE the car. Never owned a V-8 car and nothing with this kind of horsepower. I real american machine that I am excited to own with a little bit of reservation just because I have no history so I need build up my own history day by day and hope it doesn't have anything major going on. So far so good. 100 mile trip home was incredible fun! Looking forward to bringing this baby back to life a little bit with a few of these fixes!

The plastic bezelz tend to crumble and shatter with age. I just replaced the HUD with an ebay unit last weekend.

The lower connector for the spring that adjusts the mirror angle completely snapped inside the HUD.

Also got a new bezel off ebay. And it actually was brand new. Worked well.

Fixed HUD. pretty cool feature of the cars. I will purchase a replacement bezel when funds are available. For now I just pieced the original back together VERY carefully. It looks horrible but at least the HUD is fixed. It was the typical broken spring.
