Hello everyone. I look forward to sharing ideas and help with everyone. I have a 71 Grand Prix. I rebuilt and installed a "66" 421 with tripower set up and enjoy the sweet ride.

    Welcome!

There's a few on here who have pre-1988 Grand Prix's, but they are the few. Most of this forum is dedicated to the w-body Grand Prixs, but everybody likes a Tripower.

And the obligatory demand for pics! You'll have to use a 3rd party site, like PhotoBucket , Flikr, or Imgur, because the forum is dumb and won't accept anything bigger than a thumbnail.

Welcome, Friend. Plenty of slack in those plug wires... you could use some looms, eh ?

Cool, man. She's real nice. Must be nice to have a somewhat cavernous engine bay to work in.... I like the good ole days, a big honking cast iron master cylinder(without all the anti-lock b.s.) , a belt driven fan with steel blades, power steering pump you can actually reach, top post battery that's not hemmed in by braces/fuse boxes/tanks, timing you can adjust without a laptop...lol...too much??

Welcome aboard! I swear I used an HEI with tri-power for a short time. Cool to see a 71 GP person land here, did you get my message in a bottle or what? Ha. My 69 GP has a 455, been in there many years. So is the 421 eating race gas or... what kinda setup ya got? Theres a 72 GP that I call a parts car in my yard also. Speak up if you have any oddball part needs just in case I have it. PYforums, performance years Pontiac, has a big active forum where a lot of real GP enthusiasts are located. I'm not there but check that site out. I want to see the rest of your car!
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

Thanks idrivejunk. The button on my shifter needs a clip so it could stay in. No luck finding one yet. My 71 sports a vinyl top so trapped water rusted through the body at the bottom of the rear window. parts cars are impossible to find.

There was a distributor, iirc, that you could set the dwell with the car running. Through a little sliding door, using a small allen wrench ??
