I bought my car from my uncle, and when I was talking to my grandfather, he mentioned that my uncle had to do something to the car before or after he removed the battery.

I can't find anything online about it, but I know their are some vehicles where you can't just pull the battery out without ****ing up the computer or somesuch, so I'm paranoid about damaging the vehicle.

I gotta clean the contacts as their too corroded to be effectively jumped with, unless it's safe to clean them while still hooked up.

to actually clean them you have to take them off. other than that keep metal tools away from metal parts on the car and your good to go

news to me. take the neg cable off first, and then its last to be put back on.

you will need to remove the strut cross bar over the battery, then have fun flipping it up and out of its hole. watch you dont break the hard vac line running down and under the fuse box.
