So that's a moot point. Almost no cars would be suitable for back seat passengers except a large SUV. That doesn't necessarily help the OP here. The seats in the GXP are as roomy as seats in my coworkers acura TL, CTSV, etc. They are pretty reaonably sized. Certainly more room that an Fbody.

My cousins older Civic hatch (91 2 door) had more room for back seat passengers than a Grand Prix for back seat passengers. His current 07ish Civic coupe also has more room than a Grand Prix.
The point is, there isn't much more room in the backseat of a W-body than there is a F-body

My .02 cents... If you buy a GXP, start a slush fund for a trans rebuild. It isn't a question of if, but when... I'll toss an alternative out there... look at 2012 up Impalas... you get a 300 horse 6 cylinder and a 6 speed automatic which appears to be more robust and reliable than the 4T whatever garbage of prior year W bodies. You can definitely score one for GXP money if you look hard enough.

I agree I drove a 14 impala ltz while my trans was being rebuilt and boy that 305hp was no joke, granted it's no comparison to the low end TQ of a gxp or even gtp, the newer 3.6 impalas don't seem to show that 305 until very high in the rpm's.
