Welcome, Dude. Where in Mass, I'm in "central" R.I. How many miles on your ride, and can you put up some pics?
For the record : I am NOT a naked meth-head who shoves rocks up my butt.

^^^^ That's cool, I've got almost that many miles on my 06 base, and it's still chugging along just fine. Check for rust in your rockers and rear strut towers. So. Shore , like Plymouth, or like the Cape? I actually work in Brockton 02301.

Abington MA. Haha, I'm really not that good with car stuff (yet, I'm trying, all I've done to this is replaced the headlights & wipers lol, and got an aftermarket stereo installed). I'll do some research on that and check them out. Dumb question, but since you seem to know what you're talking about ill ask you. So, I want to replace the stock muffler/exhaust to make it sound "better" (ex: cooler lol). Do you have any reccomendations as to what to get and or where to point me towards?

your a youngster still so a after market cat back or mufflers you might like, but most of use dont bother cause it will never have that v8 sound, ever. then they tend to drone like mad and will make your ears bleed.

nothing ive heard via vids on line, or in person (heard a slp cat back in person) not for me. unless you like popping back fires when you let off the gas and sounds like a raspberry when floored with some drone, go for it lol

most will say install a open cone filter, headers, drop to a 3.4 pulley get a tune and enjoy the whine. sounds better then the exhaust always lol

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

that being said, there are combos that work for some people taste. borlas are supposed to sound damn good but we know they cost ya.

what ever you do never remove the res, thats what stops the drone, if anything, get the longest one you can. a glass pack is the same thing as a resonator, and @ 25 bucks, much cheaper if you need to replace yours as well.

i took this vid in the snow the other day, i jump on it a bit @0.50 and im pushing it almost to spinning up the hill at the end. ebay cat back with sd headers 3.2 pulley ic blah blah blah lol mods in my sig.

truth is the wipes are fine. i had very little heat and the defroster was fighting. ice was forming as snow hit the glass.

I agree w/ Scotty about exhaust "drone", I call it "Moose Farts"..lol...Rockers are underneath the doors, look for rust on top/paint side and from underneath. Rear strut towers are on top of the spring/shock in back, look from under and on top (in your trunk). EVERYBODY was new at car stuff at first, this is a great/free place to learn. Keep reading & researching here, avoid the bullsh!t and the haters, and go at your own pace....Enjoy !!................E

BTW, Don't get discouraged when other people are posting back and forth on your thread about other topics(highjacking) ...it happens ALL the time...No big deal...For example : If you search a certain topic, then select a thread, by the time you get to page 3, usually the original topic is long gone...lol.
