Anyone know what triggered my TCS Off light to go on? It was driving fine and didn't notice anything bad about the car when I drove it. Had it sit for a whole day and a half and today when I finally drove it to get a meal I noticed the light was on. Not sure what can cause that, only thing I know I need to change are my tie rods.

could be a bad hub, or wire to the hub. best to get it scanned if you cant find bad wires or a loose hub.

TCS OFF light is on because there is trouble in the traction control system. Either hub or wiring is culprit with hub being the issue 95% of the time... As mentioned, proper scan and go from there.

Drove it again this morning, TCS Off light is no longer on, should I still scan and such or wait till it goes off again, have plans on driving to Chicago today, from Milwaukee, is that something I should worry about?

drive on. its likely a hub going bad. if you get it scanned it stores the codes till they are cleared. so the code will still be there.

Alright, thanks for the help. One more question, where can I find one of those hubs or what they are called? Tried searching for "GP TCS hub" and all I got was a forum of someone having a similar problem and was apparently a $1100 fix?

one of these http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2000-2005-PON...tWQYhO&vxp=mtr not for your car, just reference.

buy them local, like buy on line at advance, add discount code, get a timken, moog, or skf, those all have a 3 year warranty. cost a bit more, but worth it for the quality vs the cheap o's.

$1100 ??? ??? if it is the wheel hub assembly it'll cost you maybe $100 at rockauto.com at most. the other thing that triggers the TC light is a bad wire harness that connects to the hub and they go for about $25. as scotty pointed out, don't replace with the cheap **** or you'll be replacing it again within a year. i'd suggest the timkens. won't hurt at all to drive for awhile with the light on.
if a garage charges you more than 1.5 hours labor for replacing the hub..you've been ripped off. if the garage charges you more than .5 hours for replacing a wire harness.you've been ripped off.
