Hello, I just bought a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. Car has 122k miles and the only modifications done were borla catback exhaust and wizaired cold air intake. Im looking forward to seeing other peoples cars and set ups. I really want to make this car faster and work on the handling as well. Thanx for having me. Cheers

Yeah that hood looks great. I need a new hood anyways since mine has some rust forming. If anyone has leads on a black hood, let me know.

Yep, they ship. It used to be cheaper to use freight and lie to say you have a loading dock. Now I think they actually check the address and ground might be just as cheap, lol

So I had a chance to jack the car up and inspect the suspension/steering, as I was noticing a small clunk in the steering. Found the driver side ball joint is toast and the outer tie rod end boot is ripped. Thinking of doing brand new control arms on both sides with the upgraded problem solver moog bushing. Also my trans pan is leaking ever so slowly, might buy Dexron VI and a shift kit/new gasket. I'd love to throw in some new tie rod ends and a front sway bar as well.

Is it loose though, just by looking at it there is no way to tell it's bad.

I would go ahead and replace it myself, just because it's got 122k miles and that's a risk I wouldn't want to take.

BTW, to me it looks like a tool mark right on the side where it was pried apart and the play was checked.

Moog problem solver's are good, most go with them. I'm going with the Dorman police impala LCAs, found the part numbers listed on Overkill's site. Tie rods ends area always a good idea to replace when they get damaged, and you can get the Dorman 33mm solid front sway for less than 100 usually

Fluid, filter, and shift kit is always recommended if nothing has been done to the trans yet at that mileage.

Thats what I figured about the trans. Im debating if I want to be a cheap ass and just snug the trans bolts up and see if it fixes the leaks lol. Is the shift kit really worth it?
