Hi all, I am currently driving a POS 96 acura TL and I am in the market for a 6 or 7 gent gtp. I use to drive a trans am and had a lot of fun. I had to sell it when i moved up to Gainesville for college as it became to much of a burden with all the maintenance I had to do to it, and could not work on it in a parking spot at an apt. I currently am an engineering student at UF, and plan to got to grad school for product development. I will post up a tech questions real soon on motor conversions. I look forward to being part of this forum.

hey everyone I picked up a 99 GTP tonight, and I got it for only 800 bucks. the kicker however was the motor spun a bearing. SO i have some work ahead of me. But hey I now am an official GTP owner. The car has everything i wanted. Its a black coupe with black leather and HUD. I will be posting more in the tech for some help. I am super excited, hopefully this project will become my daily driver this month.

Thanks again everyone... just to keep to you all posted I have been researching this forum for the last 3 days like a maniac. Along with the zzp tech articles I have learned so much about these forced inducted cars. Last night I bout new carpet and a 2005 l26 with only 27k miles on it. Today i will be buying headers, figuring out how to make a cheap CAI and looking into diagnostic tools along with tuning options. I am stuck on the headers, because I want to buy the cheapest pair which is xtune, but they dont have the sizes of their tubes, which are kind of important to me. The installation doesn't bother me as the motor will be outside the engine bay. I am also considering buying a very expensive pioneer head unit which I can run diagnostic software though. This would look awesome, but it will put me over a $500 out with my buddy's discount. Do you guys think its worth it, keeping in mind the head unit is a nice sized touchscreen lcd with nav and all the bells and whistles?

Well just to update...I bought so much stuff last night/ morning that wachovia called me asking if someone stole my card. All together I got the motor, new carpet, headers, all the gaskets and bolts needed, a scangauge 2, 160 therm, k&n air filter for a FWI I will build, and the ZZP MDP w/ 3.5 pulley. I think i have a good start and it is a shame I will never feel the difference in speed, but I would rather do all the mods now when all the sh*t hits the fan taking the motor out and putting it back in. Anywho I am hoping for a camera from the g/f for my 21st which is on feb.5th. I will hopefully use this to document the whole thing. I am going to use it for part of a portfolio for grad school. If you all like I can post it up here so every one can see an 800 dollar car transform on a small budget. I don't want to spend more than 3k on the car with the price of the car included. Right now I only have 1k left and it should be interesting to see how it plays out. Most likely I will break the budget. I really want an SD hood and front air dam damnit. Does any one know where to get the special edition spoiler from btw?
