I am now the proud owner of a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Supercharged! And now, a new member of Grand Prix Forums

Bought the car for $500, replaced the intake gasket, valve cover gaskets, supercharger oil and gasket, new tires, tie rod ends, some front end bushings, and flushed the radiator.

Few problems I still have and am willing to hear suggestions if available:
  • Climate control doesn't have vacuum. Not sure where the line goes from the engine into the cab, so I'm not sure where to start.
  • Not sure if a problem, but the car doesn't high idle when cold. Starts at normal idle.
  • I have a wire disconnected in the steering column that seems to do nothing. I can post a picture later, but there's a connector that fits over a metal rod in the column with 2 prongs to connect to. It was disconnected when I got the car, and it make no difference when I connected it. It's on the right side of the column behind the lock cylinder. Curious to what it does.
  • Sunroof doesn't work. I'm sure there are many people that have been through this problem.

The car runs great, minus the A/C compressor being broken. 198,000 miles and hoping to get many more! I'm open to any and all suggestions and happy to be a part of the Grand Prix world!
