On the back of the sunshade there is two notches that are supposed to keep that thing on the track it uses to open and close. My guess is you knocked one of them off the track and that's why its so hard to open and close. To fix that you'd have to take the headliner down

Alright. I know for sure that the right side will get hung up for sure as the right will stop and the left will continue a little more. Also when I take the sunroof glass off the arms slide back easily and do not get stuck or pop or anything. Makes me think it may just need greasing do to the weight of the glass pushing down.

In this one I took...if u look on the left side at the copper looking tube there's a plastic rod that the motor pushes to open the window. That could possibly part of the problem ur having
Re: How to....Sun Roof repair in general 04-08
ok I should know this but does anyone have a issue with the motor working perfectly but when you close it all the way it opens back up? Thinking sensor or my damn subs threw it off again.
Re: How to....Sun Roof repair in general 04-08

Re: How to....Sun Roof repair in general 04-08
That is what I figured but I couldn't get my door fully opened in garage so I bent it out the trunk. How do I get this damn sunshade out??? I have the glass out and everything but don't see these retainer clips you're supposed to press inward

Re: How to....Sun Roof repair in general 04-08
I took the glass out but I can't figure out what they are referring to as "retainers" anything I pushed didn't budge at all. Not sure if in 2008 they made the GXP sunroof different similar to how they made they changed the wheels from alcoas

Does anyone have any information for a 2000? Mines been stuck popped up, not back thank God, all winter. If I can't get it to shut I'm going to take it to a mechanic. If this will work that'd be great, I just haven't looked at since this is the only weekend it's going to be nice out!
