Well guy's thought i would make a nice write up for you guy's on how to retrofit your Gtp. I know ls1 did this as well but i thought heck make another might as well. I'll start off by saying equipment im using

    Ballasts: 35w morimoto
    Bulbs: H1 5000k
    Harness: Morimoto control relay
Halo ring: Xb-Led ring's newest version
    Shroud's: Mini-gattling gun
    Projectors: Mini-h1 6.os

Step one: Go to your local junk yard try and find Stock housing's. Reason why i say stock is because the one's off ebay are cheap the lenses crack very easily(you can tell there off ebay by the housing's being usually grey) im just using one in this pic to show i did end up using stock black housings.

Next your going to want to pre-heat your oven that you are using in either your or your mom's kitchen haha. The temp. your going to pre-heat it to for these headlights since there not perma-seal and don't have to deal with that is going to be the degree on the picture below.

After you slowly used a small screwdriver and a bigger screwdriver as well and slowly pryed at the housing and the lense you should of ended up with this.

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us
now onto some cutting. as you can see the stock halogen bulb holder is still here.

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us
We don't need that and we won's be using it and this is why as you can see the thread's are not going to go past the holder.

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us
So use your dremel and cut-off that holder you will no longer need it and now you should have something like this.

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us
But that is deff not pretty at all by no mean's now if your just doing this to get overwith don't care how look's in back go forth. But me i did wanted it to be alot cleaner then that. So get yourself an angle sander if you don't have one get one at harbor frieght they work great. But after sanding here's what i got.

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Now if your using the mh1 6.0s you must take a step further with your sanding and you have to make it so the holder has like a lip in it deeper. here is what i mean by that on the picture below

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us
just added some kwik weld to around back before lock nut because there was a little space between so wanted to be sure to ensure a great seal and i fig was awake why not haha

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us
now here is a shot with shroud's on i used screws on holes of shround plug a little bit of gorilla glue just for extra safety.

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us
shot of both assemblies done with shroud's on laying on floor just some test shots

On the vechile now but no lenses ready for alignment hope you guy's liked my write up an questions at all please feel free

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us to ask.

and last but not least a picture of the cutoff but still need to do some fine tuning as you can see but looking good

Well guy's i thought i might update this as i finally finished my retrofit completeley. I ended up taking my turn signal housing's apart as well and painting them flat black to match the headlight's came out great i think. was gonna do led arrow's but when i photoshopped it i deff didn't like the look. Also clamped the housing's no leaking yet 250 degree's for 5 mins. then let cool for half hr.
VHT high temp paint(painted the housing's with 4 coat's each assembly)

Next i went and got all the old sealant out with a screwdriver and also used little bit or gorilla super glue for the orange arrow because normally it just sit's in there.

While i was just finishing up the turn signal's i thought since i had them done sealed after waiting to harden up. I went and sealed/clamped the headlight housing's.

Final shot of everything done. The second picture reason why light came out blue something off my flash reflected from my cell phone i think. There pure white 5k.

    Cool.

The stock headlights on ebay aren't junk, they are as good as OEM in my experience, and are also MUCH easier to pull the lenses off since the glue is still fresh.
