    Tools needed:
    Jack
    4-way
    3/8" ratchet
    3" extension
Oil sender unit socket (1-1/16") It's not a normal 1-1/16" socket, it has a little different shape.
    Oil pressure sensor (switch)
    Sensor safe cleaner
    Oil pan
    Oil

    1. Jack up the passenger side front and use your 4-way to remove the tire.

    2. You can look just past the oil filter and see the sensor, it has a green connector and the threads of the sensor are facing the front bumper.

    3. Disconnect the sensor by pulling the legs away from the tab and then pull the connector straight out towards the rear bumper.

    4. Place your pan under the sensor (best you can) Slide your ratchet, extension, and socket over the rear of the sensor and back it out. There are some aluminum lines in the area but you should be able wiggle the socket onto the sensor.

    5. If your sensor failed like mine there will be oil all over the connector and the local area, I used the sensor safe cleaner and sprayed just about everything in sight to clean up the oil spill. Make sure you spray the connector, the oil will go through the sensor and is being forced onto/into the connector.

    6. Reach in with your hand and thread the sensor in as far as you can, use the same ratchet setup and tighten the sensor.
IMPORTANT: The sensor already has some thread sealer on the threads and they are NPT threads so you don't need to add anything or go hulk on them, you will break the housing if you over tighten it.

    7. Plug the connector back in, replace your wheel, lower the car, and add a little oil(A lot in my case)

    8. Start the car, climb under and check for any leaks, you can see the sensor from under the car. Check/add oil and enjoy.

Channel locks can be used, I chose to use the dedicated socket.

Thanks to Scottydoggs for the words of wisdom.

Here is a picture of a sensor that is similar to the one used. You can see the dimples in the corners.

Here is the tool that I used, it fit perfectly but was about $12 at my parts store. It was worth it to me, channel locks will work and 99% of the board will already have them on hand.

Nice job. Keep in mind that at some point GM changed from the goofy socket to an normal socket.

Awesome, I wasnt aware of that. I tried a normal 1-1/16" and it fit, it just didn't fit perfect.

A picture of the socket/old sensor would also be key to explain better that it's not a six point thing, it's a goofy rounded nubby stupid thing.
