Fixed it. My bottom window seals were allowing water in...but that wasn't the problem. The door allows for water to come in because it has drain holes in the bottom of the door. The problem is where it hits the factory speaker enclosure and comes in around the inner door panel.

Just go to your local GM dealership, and give them the part # in the original post here. (GM #15794785 )

Mine was about the same amount. Well worth it IMO to have a dry floor.

and not to mention all the damage it does to the carpet, floor, anything in your car, and your blower motor, etc.

Ya my blower fan makes a tick tick tick noise after a big rainstorm caused water to get in there and jam it. and it was only 8 months old replaced by the previous owner , oh well it still works so I will not replace it yet.
-If only that prev owner had fixed the root cause , oh well

I have fixed it now using the new deflector , thanks for posting all the pictures and info , I am sure you have helped countless people.

get the piece installed( if it isnt on there already) before it causes problems. A five dollar fix and ten minutes now could save you a hundred dollars and a couple hours later.

I ordered this part and it works good for my 98 GP. I also have an 04 impala SS...this same part should work for this car as well, right? I called the parts guy at the stealership and was told that there is a different shaped part for the impala and they want $44 for it. I would think that since they are both w-body cars, that the part number from the pontiac would still work for my impala? anyone have any experience with these in the 04 impala body style? Thanks in advance

Works on my SS. You're good to go with whichever one will sell it to you cheaper.

Quick concern fella's. I followed the procedure precisely as noted above and I thought all was good , course that was up until the rain storm today. Floor is wet yet again!?!? I don't have heater core , bought her without it. Checked the AC evap.. their is no tube where it should be and I don't know why. But I was able to stick my finger in the hole and it didn't appear to be clogged. My question is, any ideas as to what to check and/or fix now?
