So after reading around i decided this had to be possible so bare with me and ill show you.If you dont use xm or dont subscribe this will work perfect for anyone looking to add an input.

things needed: 3.5mm headphone cord of choice
    soildering gun/soilder
    elcectrically tape/heat shrink
    optional: head phone jack

ok well i started by identifying the wires ill be working with. xm reciever is located in the trunk on the left side behind the carpet

i pulled the reciever out and there is one pin connector. pull it and you will be using three of the wires.

The three wire you will cut will be pin 2 left audio+, pin 3 right audio +,and pin 10 audio - (common)

After this i strated to make my cable. i used an walmart brand rca and cut a rca to 3.5mm headphone jack and spliced them together and soilder it all together.

After i have made my cable i begain to connect my wire to the inputs on the xm harness. you will want to cut the wire and hook the negatives to the black/white, and the right to the brown/white, left to geen/white. soilder together when done.

you can test to see if its working at this point. just make sure you plug the xm recievier back in. it needs powed for this to work.
after this you can run it accordinly. I ran mine between the carpet under the center temporarly till i get a jack.

To make it work all you have to do is switch to xm and listen up.

    Thanks for looking everyone.

I just did this mod. Very simple. Ib didn't cut the audio signal wires just added to them. Now when on channel 0 no xm audio is present while all the other channels still work.. just stop the audio from your input ex. I use my siii

I don't understand how you connect the two wires from the 3.5mm plug to the "Audio Common" wire.

the common wire is just a ground, so you hook the 2 negative to it. any more questions?

ok on the xm connector there is one common, that is your ground, when you clip the wires of the headphone cord there are 2 wires in each one, postive will be the inside wire and the wire wraped around it is ground. thus you will have 2 grounds

Yup. I just took some rcas and cut off the ends. Green/white is right. Brown/white is left. Black/white is the common-ground.

For ex. Rca right was red and white. Left was yellow and white. Red and yellow are the left and rIght positive and the whites are common/ground just hook them together and then to the black white.

I don't have/pay for xm but I just turn it to 0. The xm receiver shuts off its audio when it senses audio from your phone through the headphone jack. I turn it to 0 so the preview doesnt come on when I pause. When u get back in the car it will default back to the preview channel.
