I know this shouldn't require instruction because it's easy to figure out, but some people like seeing things done before they try to do it (me included....most of the time). This how-to is done on the passenger side, but is the same (and slightly easier for some reason) on the driver side.
Step 1 - Remove This Nut:
Unscrew the nut by turning it to the left -- pretty simple, eh?
Step 2 - Pull Some Shiz Out The Way:
This plastic piece is in the way of moving the carpet. It can be done without moving the plastic, but I found it to be far easier to just get it the **** out the way. Pull forcefully like so, causing the plug to pop off (save for later).
Step 3 - Remove Some More Nuts:
Unscrew these nuts the same way you removed the first one, but note they are slightly different (why note it? Because otherwise this write-up would be even more boring).
Step 4 - Remove Tail Light:
Pull the tail light straight out the back of the vehicle. You will encounter some resistance as the bolts brush up on their respective holes -- do not be alarmed, removing the tail light WILL sound like a super guiro.
Step 5 - Reassembly (optional):
To put the tail light back in (or install a different one), perform these steps in reverse. Of course this step is completely optional because the write-up clearly states 'Remove'. Enjoy!
